Clinical I.T Specialist
Full Time Position

Position Summary
Provides technical and functional support to the clinical team including training on new software, equipment, system applications and processes. Organize, develop, and obtain training procedure manuals, course materials, and product demonstrations. Monitor and evaluate training activities and program effectiveness including project management of new application implementations as well as provides help with troubleshooting system errors and helpdesk support to clinical field staff.
Duties & Responsibilities

Organize, develop, and obtain training procedure manuals, course materials, and product demonstrations.

Monitor and evaluate training activities and program effectiveness.

Provide technical and functional support to the clinical team including training on new software, equipment, system applications and processes.

Provide project management of new application implementations.

Answer queries, resolve software application issues, and escalate or close tickets as necessary.

Review and update workflow and interfaces.
-
Create and maintain updated instruction guides for different user audiences.

Train staff in software usage, how to get assistance, and common mistakes.

Directly work with staff to train and direct usage for the highest standards of data security.

Evaluate existing applications and make recommendations to improve functionality.

Assists the manager with the clinical department I.T. design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features.

Provides help with troubleshooting system errors.

Provides helpdesk support for clinical field staff.

Provides technical support via phone, remote access, or field visits.

Respond to I.T. issues, including but not limited to hardware maintenance, software, and networking as requested by the clinical department.

Assists with evaluation of connectivity issues, equipment, and software.

Assists with troubleshooting computer software/hardware problems to ensure it’s running properly.

Supports manager in ensuring all licensure, software and hardware are up-to-date and functioning.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements

Requires long periods of sitting. Occasionally required to stand for long periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.

Requires use of hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, use tools and/or controls, reach with hands and arms.

Required vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.

Able to analyze problems and adopt an effective course of action. Requires learning a number of policies and procedures, writing, arithmetic and problem solving skills.

Must be able to speak, read and write English. Ability to read, comprehend and write instructions, correspondence and memos and other related documents.

Requires the ability to work effectively at a fast pace and under a degree of urgency related to duties that require constant attention to deadlines.

Must have the capability to continuously interact tactfully, effectively and professionally with a variety of personalities.

In addition to being able to fulfill the physical, mental and communication demands listed above, must be able to follow safety instructions and demonstrate critical thinking abilities and judgment.
Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience [4yrs or more].
-
Minimum of two (2) years experience in healthcare industry with focus on project management and implementing/monitoring quality improvement plans.
-
Hospice experience preferred.
Hours

Generally, Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Pay
-
$62,400 - $66,560/annually
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
